Health Care Transformation Task Force Chief Jeff Micklos Will Keynote Best Practices in Value-Based Care Conference

New Health Data Management event for healthcare providers focuses on critical first steps in the transition to value-based care

New York, NY – (July 19, 2016) Jeff Micklos, the executive director of the Health Care Transformation Task Force, will offer a keynote address atHealth Data Management’s inaugural conference, Best Practices in Value-Based Care, to be held Sept. 21-22 in Dallas, TX. Micklos joins an esteemed speaking faculty that will highlight the collaboration necessary among providers and payers, as well as stakeholders in med tech, digital health and pharmacy to enable healthcare organizations to transition to value-based care.

Value-based care is rapidly emerging as an alternative payment model replacing healthcare’s traditional fee-for-service reimbursement. Health Data Management convenes this event as healthcare organizations confront strategic planning for value-based care with an increasing sense of urgency. Surveys show that the majority of providers are not prepared for the shift and have adopted a wait-and-see approach.

The Health Care Transformation Task Force is an industry consortium that brings together patients, payers, providers and purchasers to align private and public sector efforts to clear the way for a sweeping transformation of the U.S. healthcare system. The organization is committed to rapid, measurable change, both for its members and the country. Members have committed to having 75 percent of their respective businesses operating under value-based payment arrangements by 2020.

“We’re thrilled to have Jeff Micklos represent the Health Care Transformation Task Force at Best Practices in Value-Based Care.” says Greg Slabodkin, editor at Health Data Management and chairman of the conference. “His organization represents the country’s best efforts to truly change the way healthcare is delivered.”
