Mergers & Acquisitions Now Accepting Nominations for 7th Annual M&A Mid-Market Awards

Honoring Dealmakers and Deals that Set the Standard for Transactions in the Middle Market

Mergers & Acquisitions has announced a call for nominations for its 7th Annual M&A Mid-Market Awards. The awards honor the dealmakers and the deals that set the standard for transactions in the middle market.

Mergers & Acquisitions, a SourceMedia brand, is a leading resource for middle-market dealmakers, providing news, analysis and features through its daily website (TheMiddleMarket.com) and monthly magazine.

To determine the winners, Mergers & Acquisitions evaluates a variety of factors, including performance, growth, innovation and thought leadership. To be eligible for the awards, deals must: be valued at or below roughly $1 billion; involve a U.S.-based company as either buyer or seller; and have been completed by Dec. 31, 2013.

“2013 was a challenging year for deal-makers,” Mary Kathleen Flynn, Editor-in-Chief of Mergers & Acquisitions, said. “We’re looking to honor the companies and people who overcame the challenges, grew their businesses, and closed great deals against the odds.”

Nominations are due by Friday, Jan. 31, 2014 and are submitted via an online form that can be found here: http://www.themiddlemarket.com/mid-market-awards-nominations/

Last year’s award recipients included, Mark Brady, global head of M&A for William Blair & Co., who was named Dealmaker of the Year. Starbucks Corp. took Deal of the Year honors for its purchase of Teavana Holdings Inc; and the Riverside Co. was recognized as Private Equity Firm of the Year for completing 36 acquisitions and 14 exits, as well as for its partners’ thought leadership.
