DM Review and the CDI Institute Announce the CDI-MDM SUMMIT 2006

Aaron Zornes, founder of the CDI Institute, and former META Group executive, to keynote and chair the event.

NEW YORK, NY – January 10, 2006 - SourceMedia and DM Review are pleased to announce the 1st Annual CDI-MDM Summit 2006 conference to be held in San Francisco on March 2nd and 3rd, 2006.

Working closely with SourceMedia’s Events & Conferences Group and DM Review, is former META Group executive vice president Aaron Zornes. Now chief research officer for the CDI Institute, Mr. Zornes will be responsible for shaping the agenda and speaker lineup for the IT industry’s first mega-event covering both the exploding areas of customer data integration (CDI) and master data management (MDM).

According to recent CDI Institute research, the CDI-MDM software and services market is expected to grow to US$8 billion by 2008. As further evidence of the strategic importance of this market, in late summer 2005, Forrester released their first Wave report and Gartner their first Magic Quadrant on CDI. Additionally, market researcher IDC stated in fall 2005 that the MDM market should grow to US$10.4 billion by 2009 at a compound annual growth rate of 13.8%.

CDI-MDM SUMMIT 2006 is designed to meet the needs of first mover and early adopters in mid-to-large organizations who are either implementing or evaluating these key technology initiatives. The conference agenda is designed to provide a road map for the approximately 200 attendees via more than fifty real-world case studies, expert panel discussions, and thought leadership presentations. Per Mr. Zornes, “This is a unique opportunity for enterprise architects, CTOs, and CIOs to learn from and network with the best and the brightest CDI and MDM early movers – from Bell Canada (communications) to Citigroup (financial services) to Microsoft (high tech manufacturing). Our conference agenda includes timely topics such as data governance, privacy compliance, and data integration services.”

Adds DM Review publisher Brian Cronin, “We saw the emergence of CDI and MDM several years ago when we launched our CDI and MDM Resource Portals at DMReview.com and added Aaron Zornes as a regular columnist in our publication last year. This is a natural next step – to host a conference of this scale with the leading industry experts – Aaron Zornes and the CDI Institute”.
