FinTech Forward will provide a comprehensive and forward-looking view of the strategic imperatives driving bank technology, both from the vendor and the user perspectives. The program draws on the two organizations’ deep industry expertise, market-leading proprietary research, and strength in live events to produce actionable content for decision makers.
American Banker and BAI have partnered on the FinTech rankings since 2004, beginning with the Top 100 FinTech providers, expanding to the Top 25 Enterprise FinTech firms, and now including the Top FinTech Companies to Watch.

Rankings and Research – The FinTech Forward rankings are the industry-standard benchmark of achievement. The rankings are categorized and evaluated based on self-reported and estimated calendar year-end revenues (CY14) attributed to financial services. In 2015, we will publish the following rankings:
- Top 100 Technology Providers in FinTech who derive more than one-third of their revenue from financial institutions.
- Top 25 Enterprise Companies in FinTech across multiple industries that derive less than one-third of their revenue from financial institutions.
- Top Companies To Watch is a list of start-ups and other recent market entrants bringing new approaches to FinTech. Note: Firms applying for the FinTech Companies To Watch list will be required to cite an active client or user of their product or service within a financial services company in order to be considered for the ranking.
Analytical Content – American Banker will publish a series of reports and assessments that build upon the key learnings of the FinTech research. The rankings, profiles and related content will be delivered across multiple media, including a dedicated web presence at FinTechForward.com, an email newsletter series, and a print special report delivered to an expanded audience of industry leaders and technology professionals.
