The new leadership team brings extensive experience in the credit union marketplace. Their appointments reflect Credit Union Journal’s commitment to deepen engagement within this dynamic community of member organizations, which deliver financial services to more than 100 million Americans.
John Wiley has been named Publisher of Credit Union Journal. Wiley brings 15 years of media, marketing and business development experience, including roles at Credit Union Times and Credit Union National Association. An enthusiastic supporter of the C.U. movement, Wiley is also a certified Credit Union Development Educator (CUDE). Wiley will report to SourceMedia Vice President of Sales, Anne Hrubala.

Credit Union Journal also announced the promotion of Lisa Freeman to the role of Editor-in-Chief. Previously the brand’s Managing Editor, Freeman is an award-winning journalist who has been covering credit unions for more than 15 years. Earlier in her career, Freeman reported on legislative and regulatory issues on Capitol Hill for several B2B publications. In her new role, Freeman will advance Credit Union Journal’s digital transformation and continue its commitment to providing the in-depth news and analysis, delivering the strategic insight credit union leaders need to be successful. Freeman will report to Rich Melville, Editorial Director for SourceMedia’s Banking and Capital Markets Group.
